We are happy
to participate in the Annual Hot Springs Christmas Parade on Monday,
December 7 at 6:30 pm (rain date Dec 9). This will be our 11th year
in the parade. We are number 13! YAY! There is a sign up sheet in
the lobby if you are participating in the parade. Please include
your cell phone number on the sheet.
During
the parade, students will wear Dance City sweatshirts, black pants,
and black shoes with red Santa hats and white gloves.
The parade route is lengthy, so students under
the age of 10 will ride on the Dance City float. Students that walk
the entire parade route will perform in front of the grand stand. We
will have a rehearsal for this performance THIS THURSDAY, December 3
at 5:00 pm till 5:30 pm at the studio.
*Any student that is age 4 or under needs to
be accompanied by an adult during the parade. Please bring a blanket
to sit on while on the float.
On the day of the parade, there will be a
rehearsal at the studio from 3:30 to 4:30 (only for students that
are walking the parade route, not riding on the float). The studio
will be closed after 4:30. Please arrive for the parade by 5:45 at
the latest, we are in parking lot 2 which is by the Velda Rose on
Park Avenue. Please look for big
white letters that say "Dance City." Central
Avenue is closed at 6:00 pm, promptly. It is recommended that you
leave your car at the Transportation Depot, and get a ride to
parking lot 2.
Please pick up your child at the
Transportation Depot as soon
as our float arrives there,
not at the end of the parade.
Thank you for participating in the parade, we
think it is a great way to kick off the holidays. Your food
donations were delivered today to Project Hope, which is a local
food bank for eleven needy organizations in Hot Springs.
