We will follow the Lakeside School calendar. Thanksgiving Holidays Nov.24-26 Christmas Holidays Dec. 17-Jan. -2, Snow days will be determined as necessary. Please listen to voice message at studio and or check website to confirm studio closing for inclement weather. Tuition - Due by the 10th of each month, or a $10.00 late fee is added to your account. I do not send bills unless you request one. Please place payment in Tuition box, on the studio check in desk. Please mark all checks with students name. Please make sure your child is on time to class, put their name on everything. If your child will be absent, please call the studio and leave a message. We do appreciate you choosing Dance City. Call Miss Patty with concerns. Thank you again for the chance to DANCE with your children.

September-- Whew! We are back! Classes are all underway.
Please have patience while we evaluate dancers and move students to the appropriate classes and form new classes to meet needs of the dancers.
Parking Lot Safety- Please hold your child's hand entering and exiting the building from the parking lot. If you do a drop off, please enter from the South entrance (closest to Malvern Ave) and exit the North, this will help with congestion. Please DO NOT park and leave your car blocking the drop off zone. Thanks.
REMINDER- NO CLASS MONDAY SEPT. 6th-LABOR DAY- Enjoy the day off.
If you would like to make up a class, please feel free to do so. Look at web-site class schedule for a class to substitute that week.
Reminder--Write names on all dance shoes, bags, clothing, etc.
We already have items in "Lost & Found" on top of the coke machine. ALL dance shoes are arriving, please check at front desk for help with clothing, shoes, etc.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
Dance City will close Dec.17th (Friday) for the Holiday break, even
though Lakeside Schools are not out until Dec. 23. We will open on
Monday Jan. 3, 2005 This closing is the same as the Hot Springs
School District and other local schools.
PARADE- A Patriotic Christmas-- Dec. 2 (Thursday) Meet at the parking lot across the street from the Majestic Hotel at the float site (we are entry # 9) YEA!!!!! Please bring a can of food for the needy. Wear black pants, black DANCE CITY sweatshirt and white turtleneck, white gloves, a red SANTA hat, bring a small American flag. The parade route ends at Central & Orange streets. Be sure & pick up your child as soon as we are finished. DO NOT wait until the parade is over. THANK YOU!!! Bring a blanket to the parade to sit on the float.
Parents are welcome to walk along side the float!
TUITION-Remains the same for the month--There are 5 weeks in November & 5 weeks in January which makes up the 2 classes we miss in December.
COSTUME DEPOSITS ARE DUE NOW.
DANCE CITY provides the entertainment for the Miss Greater Hot Springs

Costume Bills will be handed out this month. All fees and costume charges must be paid before costumes are handed out. Some costumes have already arrived! It is going to be a great recital. Thank you again for choosing Dance City.

THANK YOU to all students and parents for a great job at Miss Hot Springs Pageant. I appreciate you all taking time to participate. I have had lots of good feedback!
COSTUMES-Everyday they are arriving! We try them on in class and Ms. Patty approves fit. Please hang them up in a safe place and look in bag for small pieces such as hair ribbons, etc. DO NOT let your child "play" in them until AFTER the recital. Write child's name on the tag inside costume. Costume and recital fees are due.
Dance Progress Week- Jan. 31-Feb.1-5 Come in and watch your child's class. Sit in on class and observe.
ATTENDANCE- Is important* if you miss class you can do a make-up class. See Ms. Patty for times. Please call the studio if your child will be absent.
DANCE CITY CLOTHING BAGS are for sale and make a great way to transport and organize for the recital.

March 21-25-Spring Break - Studio Closed Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Attendance* It is very important to all dancers that you attend all classes unless you are ill or have a family emergency. Please call the studio and leave message when you will not be there. We are blocking all numbers for the recital and it is helpful for ALL students to know where each other are blocked. Daddy-Daughter Dance- Interested parents sign up in lobby. Classes will be Thursday @5:00 and or 6:30. Classes start after Spring Break. This is one of the favorites of our recital...Special time for our DADS to strut their stuff! RECITAL PHOTOS-(May 6 & 7) are taken at Dance City Studio- Times are posted for each class in lobby. Please arrive early and be fully dressed for your picture. Make-up & Hair done. VIDEO-Forms will be at the Front desk soon. This year you may choose VHS or DVD. REHEARSAL-June 4, Horner Hall 9:00 a.m.- Scheduled times for each class are posted at the studio in the lobby. It is a tentative schedule so keep in mind we will monitor and adjust as the day progresses. DRESSING ROOMS-Assignments are made and posted at Horner Hall and Dance City Lobby regarding what room is your dressing room. Find your way around Horner Hall on Sat. It will make Sunday go smoother. RECITAL-June 5 2:00 P.M. Doors open for seating @ 1:00 P.M. Seating is on a first come basis. If you need to exit the Hall during the recital please sit towards the back and be considerate of others by not walking in and out during a performance. Thank You!

Arrive early for photos *your assigned time is when your picture is to be taken in the studio at DANCE CITY. Please have make-up and hair done when you arrive. Bring ALL COSTUMES, SHOES, TIGHTS, and accessories with you. There is a changing room in Studio 1 for you to use. TIGHTS, SHOES, and undergarments may be purchased at DANCE CITY. Select package and fill out order form for photos. You may pay with 1 check for ALL photos. Video Forms - are at Front desk at Studio. Please note we are using a different videographer this year. FLOWERS-Orders will be taken at the studio the first week of MAY and during photo weekend. Please pre-pay for your order. DRESS Rehearsal schedule at Horner Hall June 4 starting at 9:00 a.m. ARRIVE 30 minutes early to give yourself time in finding a parking place and walking into the dressing room area.

REMINDER: Photos are March 31 starting at 3:00 p.m. April 1starting at 9:00 a.m at Dance City. Photos require FULL make-up and hair done.

Studio 1 is a dressing room with mirrors and hanging racks if you choose to dress at the studio. You may also use this room for changing into next costume.

Dance City will perform at the Lady Razorback Basketball game as halftime entertainment, December 20 at Summit Arena in Hot Springs. For ticket info go to Ticketmaster or you may purrchase tickets at the window at Arena. Info on rehearsal times posted in Lobby at Dance City. GO HOGS!!!!
ONLY the dancer will be able to enter this entrance, on
the day of the performance. You will then have to walk down
to the right of the building to enter with your ticket.
Class schedule- The week of
Christmas- Monday (Dec. 18) 5:00 rehearse Jingle Bells at
the studio.
Tuesday-Dress Rehearsal assigned times at Summit Arena
Wed-Performance Summit Arena- Arrive NO LATER than 5:30 p.m.
We are then out for Christmas break until Jan. 4

child perform during this busy time of year. The students did
a
fantastic job. We do have a DVD of it. Let me know if you

copy. I am so proud of each and everyone of them! Channel 7

Classes are open next week October 1-6 at both studios. You are invited to observe your child's class. It is important that you be supportive in their attempts to learn new skills, technique, while being in a classroom with new friends. Please feel free to stay the entire class or come in and observe for a short while.
Halloween Party - The week of Halloween we will have parities for the baby classes. They are allowed to wear their costume to class...All 2,3,4 year old classes. Halloween is Wed. October 31, we will have class as scheduled. Halloween Costumes for sale at East Location!
Tuition - Please put your child's name on the tuition check. It helps with bookkeeping. Tuition is due by the 10th of the month. Thanks for your promptness.
Please label all shoes, clothing, dance bags with your child's name. All shoes look alike... it helps us during class time while changing shoes during class.
Lost and Found - We already have quite a
few items, please check the box.

Dec. 2 2:00 p.m. Practice big girls only at Lakeside Studio (will last 1 hour) What to wear to Parade & Razorback game: Black pants, Dance City sweatshirt, Red Santa Hat, white gloves, black shoes
Dec.6 3:30p.m.& 4:30 p.m Classes will be held all others are cancelled for the parade. Christmas Parade Thursday Dec. 6 arrive no later than 5:30 p.m. at float site downtown. Bring blanket & coat to sit on.
December 6 - Christmas Parade at 6:30 WE ARE FLOAT #6...PARKING LOT 1, BY THE BARKING FROG Bring students to Parking Lot 1. Pick up at Transportation Depot as soon as WE finish the parade. NOT after the parade. Students wear black pants, Dance City sweatshirt, red Santa hat, white gloves (Sweatshirts and Santa Hats may be monogrammed-Orders taken at studio lobby) Bring blankets to sit on and come start the holidays with this fun event.
Dec. 11 DRESS REHEARSAL at Summit 5:30 p.m. will last at least an hour (no 5:30 classes that date)
Dec. 13 Lady Razorback game- Summit Arena (we dance at halftime) 3:30 and 4:30 classes will be held. All others are cancelled for the day. (Enter back of arena)
Dec.13 - Arkansas Razorback Game Dress Rehearsal - Dec 11, 5:30 p.m. - Summit Arena (will last 1 hour).
Performance - Dec 13 ... be there 5:30p.m. - Game begins at 6:00 p.m. We perform at halftime. Reserved section for students #217 Tickets go on sale Nov. 19th at the Summit Arena Box office. Ticket prices are $10 adult reserved lower court side, ($7 for students), $8 for reserved upper side court and end zone seats ($5 for students); $4 for groups of 20 or more for reserved upper side court and end zone seats. To purchase individual tickets, call Ticketmaster at 501-321-1919. To purchase group tickets (20 or more) call the Summit Arena Box office at 501-620-5001. COSTUME DEPOSITS ARE DUE NOW.
